All soaps made by Beau Vous Soapworks are handmade and contain both Aloe Vera and Vitamin E. And we don’t just put in a teeny tiny drop of each one so we can say that it's there. We put in enough Aloe Vera and Vitamin E to make sure you get the full benefit of both of them, all the way to the last sliver of your soap. Most of our soaps also contain Shea Butter, and plenty of it. You’ll be able to tell the difference between our soaps and the ones you buy at the store with the same ingredients.

Most commercial soaps (like Ivory, Dial, Irish Spring, Camay, or Dove), even the ones that claim to be gentlest to your skin, are made from beef fat, and beef fat can leave your skin feeling irritated, scratchy, flaky, and dry. Beef fat? Yuck! Who really likes the idea of rubbing beef fat on her skin? Or beef fat on her baby's skin? No way.

Beau Vous handcrafted soaps are made from only the highest quality oils that come from plants like Coconuts, Palms, Olives, Sweet Almonds, and Grapeseeds. We use Jojoba oil and various nut butters too. All of those oils and butters are extremely gentle to your skin and are also moisturizing. All Beau Vous soaps are super-fatted with vegetable based fats -- ones that sound like you'd like to rub them on your skin. You don't need to understand how we do it, but take our word for it that "super-fatting" is a great process that produces a creamier, more delicate soap than you can get any other way.

We never ever add a single chemical agent or preservative to any soap we make.
